King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC)
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) was founded in December 2005 with a mandate to enable socio-economic development in Saudi Arabia. With 5 million new jobs needed by 2020 and 190,000 new homes required each year, KAEC aims to provide a state-of-the-art infrastructure that will address these problems. Construction is underway with plans including a seaport, an educational district, an industrial park to host over 2,500 manufacturers and logistic companies, a 48km² residential district, a 13.5km² central business district and a resorts district fitted with luxury villas.
